Go out for a rip and support kids with physical disabilities!

What if your favourite winter activity could help kids in our community? Come out to the 41st Snowarama for Easter Seals Kids taking place Saturday, January 30, 2016! This fun-filled event brings together snowmobilers from all over the city and surrounding area to help children with physical disabilities in our area!

Snowarama is the ultimate day of snowmobiling, and participation is easy. Raise a minimum of $150 and enjoy breakfast at Grand Gardens North, lunch at Searchmont Ski Resort, a $25 gas top-up (maximum), and a day trail pass (if you do not already have a season’s pass). Along the beautiful 160 km of trails, you and your friends and family can stop at Buttermilk and enjoy an open bonfire organized by The Sault Trailblazers.

Snowarama is a full day, family-friendly event for all ages. Children 12 and under can eat for free and ride with their parents for only an additional fundraised amount of $20 per child (in addition to the $150 amount).

PRIZES! PRIZES! PRIZES!: The George Willis Trophy, named in honour of the St. Joseph Island resident who consistently brought in the most donations to Snowarama for many years, will go to the rider who turns in the most money on the day of the event. Last year’s winner: Dan Czop who raised $3,060.

LOCAL PRIZE DRAW: When you fundraise $150, the rider receives one ballot to win great prizes from Christie’s RV, Construction Equipment Co., Dynatype Motorsports, Joe’s Sports and Surplus, Martin’s Trailers, North Shore Sports & Auto, Premier Powersports Yamaha, Rivercity Motorsports, and Woody’s Wheels (all prizes valued over $200).

Registration will be from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on January 30, 2016 at the Grand Gardens North on Great Northern Road.

Pledge sheets are available at local snowmobile dealerships or can be downloaded from rotarysault.com. Alternatively and in addition, fundraising can be done ONLINE! Register for online pledging at Snowarama.org.
