Here’s part of the interview that Vyron had with URshow.tv regarding the potential to fight Roy Jones Jr:

Get To Know Vyron

What do you bring to this fight that Roy Jones Jr. doesn’t?

I think I bring the will to be great. That’s something that Roy has but I feel he has accomplished everything he was meant to. I believe I am meant for moments like this. In no way do I mean any disrespect to the champ, I just feel like I am in the trenches, I am in the grind, I am fighting literally to survive, whereas he already has made it.

Why did you enter this contest?

My dream is to leave a legacy behind like the great fighters before me. If I don’t fight smart I could get hurt, and if he underestimates me he could lose. If I got this opportunity, no matter where my life goes from here, no one can take that away from me. I am a competitor and I have to challenge myself in ways the average person wouldn’t dream of. I love a challenge. I am fighting for the people you say are not good enough, I am fighting for the ones in the gym day in and day out busting their asses but never to be noticed. This is for the underdogs. I fight for the ones who can’t do it, or the ones who are afraid to try. I fight for the ones I’ve lost to the streets. I fight for my little brother who never got a chance to go to high school, college, get married or have a family of his own. I fight for me and my legacy. I’ve been through hell and back and the world needs to hear my story #storyofachampion #thegrindisreal #belieVee I fight for that! I want to prove you can make it out of any situation no matter how impossible it may seem.

How long have you been fighting?

I started out amateur boxing, and racked up a record of 6 wins and 1 loss. I’ve been fighting professionally for 5 years as a mixed martial artist.

What would you do with the $100,000?

When I was a kid I promised my mother I would buy her a house of her own so that’ll be first on my list. I don’t even own a house of my own but my mother’s house would be first. I also have a dream/vision to open up my own school of martial arts. I believe that martial arts and boxing is more than learning how to fight/defend yourself, because it also teaches you how to rebound/survive and or become successful in life when life challenges you. Martial arts and boxing teaches the fundamentals of being a good person, and I’d use this money to spread that message.

What else should people know about you?

I’m from the typical single parent home, raised in North Minneapolis, which is one of the toughest/roughest neighborhoods in Minneapolis. Growing up, there was violence, alcohol abuse, drugs, and gangs all around me. I’ve seen friends and family killed, but the thing that made me who I am today, in terms of having no fear, or fearing no challenge, is losing my little brother. He was killed in a drive by shooting, hit with a stray bullet across the street from our house, he was only 11 years old, and he died on the scene. Losing him hurt, it hurts to this day, and no one knows that kind of pain. People asked me how I managed to stay focused, and graduate high school, and play university basketball and then graduate university. Well, it hurt every day, but I couldn’t fall into the trap and either become a statistic, dead before 21, or in jail. I have to live for him because he believed in me and he always said I was special. I am definitely a winner and I find a way, because there is always a way.

Give us a prediction on the fight.

Yes I will win. Depends on how the fight goes, but no matter what, I will leave that arena with the win.*****
