SAULT STE. MARIE (Wednesday, September 28, 2016) 2310 Army Cadet Corps will be out in the community this Friday evening and all day Saturday looking for residents to show their support during the semi-annual Tag Days. The Cadets will be posted at retail stores and establishments around town offering their donation tags.
This major Cadet fundraiser is always well supported by the community and 100% of the funds raised goes toward the activities and equipment for our local Army Cadets. We invite the community to take this opportunity to speak with our Cadets and learn about this exciting youth program.
The Army Cadet Program teaches young people the value of citizenship, leadership, service to the community, personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment while promoting self-esteem, teamwork and self-discipline. Summer programs provide opportunities for travel and the chance to participate in inter-provincial and international exchanges. The 2310 Army Cadet Corps meets Monday nights at 6:30 p.m. at the Sault Armoury (375 Pine Street). It is for boys and girls aged 12 to 18 and it is free to join. New recruits are welcome to attend any Monday night.
