Sault Fire Chief and City End Relationship

Sault Ste. Marie Fire Chief Mike Figliola and the City have ended their relationship.

I have learned this has already taken place, is to be announced today.

I also have heard his office at the fire service and his city-owned vehicle have already been cleaned out but I have been unable to confirm that.

Figliola came over to the Sault Ste. Marie Fire Service from North Bay in 2015.

He chose to live in the Bright Lake area, about 100 kilometres from the Sault, and had the use of a fire service vehicle to get to and from work. He came under some fire for this as gas, maintenance and insurance were paid by the city.

However, I have not yet learned the reason for the parting of ways.

I assume that will come with the official announcement.
