Soccer Club’s first annual open house introduces parents and children to the sport of soccer in a fun, safe and positive environment

Sault Ste. Marie, ON, 27 August, 2016 – On Tuesday, August 30 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm the Sault United Football Academy (SUFA) will host it’s first annual free soccer open house. Parents and children ages three to 16 are invited to learn about the sport of soccer and the club’s development and competitive programs.

The event will take place at Superior Heights Collegiate and Vocational School’s outdoor artificial turf field, and will feature soccer related games, training stations and skill demonstrations led by SUFA’s professionally trained, certified coaching staff. Parents will be able to speak first hand with SUFA staff and current club players and parents about the program and their experiences.

SUFA prides itself on offering an inclusive, educational and fun soccer program. It’s development program is open to children of all levels and from all clubs.

“We’re really looking forward to this opportunity to share our philosophy and our soccer program with the community.” said Bill Howe, Founder and Academy Director. “We really believe that by putting the children first and teaching proper soccer techniques in a fun, safe and positive environment, and by providing pathways and opportunities for children, whether recreational or competitive, we can foster and develop great players and more importantly, a lifelong love of soccer.”

SUFA’s soccer open house is open to the public, free and happening rain or shine. Children should come appropriately dressed in comfortable clothes, running shoes or cleats, bring a soccer ball (if they have one) and be ready for FUN!
