The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service has partnered with Mac’s Convenience Stores for a positive ticketing initiative called Operation Heat and Operation Freeze.
Over the next year officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service will be issuing tickets/coupons to local youth that they find engaging in positive behaviour. These tickets can be redeemed at any Mac’s Convenience Store for a free hot beverage during the winter months or a free Froster during the summer months.
In partnership with Mac’s stores, police have issued more than 1.2 million Operation Freeze and Operation Heat coupons since 2007. Officers are looking forward to working with our partners at Mac’s to promote positive and trusting relationships with local youth.
